Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Institute of Technology, Nirma University organized a public lecture by Dr Rajkumar Buyya, Redmond Barry Distinguished Professor and Director of the Cloud Computing and Distributed Systems (CLOUDS) Laboratory at the University of Melbourne, Australia, on 20th December 2019.
Dr Buyya served as a future fellow of the Australian Research Council from 2012-2016. He has authored over 625 publications and seven textbooks. He is one of the highly cited authors in computer science and software engineering worldwide. He delivered the session on ?New Frontiers in Cloud and Edge/Fog Computing for Big Data & Internet-of-Things Applications?. In his talk, he discussed the recent trends as well as the challenges in the field of Cloud Computing and Edge/Fog Computing.
