JRF attended and presented research work at the 22nd National Space Science Symposium

The 22nd National Space Science Symposium, held from February 26th to March 1st, 2024 at Goa University, saw the presence of renowned scientists, including Dr S Somnath, Chairman of ISRO. We are delighted to announce the participation of our Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Ms Urvashi Mesariya, from the Computer Science and Engineering Department at ITNU.

Urvashi is working on the ISRO-HQ funded project titled “Automatic Detection and Analysis of Lunar Surface Mineralogy Using Deep Learning Techniques” under the mentorship of Prof. (Dr.) Sudeep Tanwar (principal investigator), along with co-principal investigators Dr Tarjni Vyas, Shivani Desai, and Anuja Nair. Ms Urvashi has presented her research findings through an oral presentation on “Enhancing Hyperspectral Image Clarity for Lunar Surface Mineralogy through a Multi-Attention Equipped Self-Regulating Convolutional Neural Network”. She attended lectures delivered by Dr S. Somanath and Dr R. Umamaheshwaran. For this opportunity, she has been granted financial support by the above-mentioned ongoing funded project from ISRO-HQ.
