An Industry Meet was arranged in Nirma University on November 15, 2022 organized by the Center of Excellence in Data Science at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The Industry Meet was arranged with an aim to bridge the gap between Industry and Academia. This platform was envisaged with an expectation to focus on conducting various collaborations in association with Industry and SUNY Binghamton University. Suggestions from Industry were sought so that a productive research work be carried out under the aegis of the Center for mutual benefit.
The capabilities and prowess of the Team ? CoE in Data Science was presented by the coordinators Dr Priyank Thakkar and Dr Swati Jain followed by a lucid presentation by Prof Sang Won Yoon, Professor from SUNY Binghamton University, NY, focusing on his research contributions. The presentations were supplemented by an exhaustive interaction and active discussion with industry delegates. A very productive discussion regarding the training and consultancy associations and further activities was kickstarted. It was concluded that the association with industry for such activities is in mutual benefit and a win-win-win situation for academia, industry and students.
The industry meet was attended by professionals from various organizations like eInfochips, Qnu Labs, Gujarat Gas, Amneal Pharmaceuticals, Zydus Group, Infocusp Innovations, Intech Creative Services, IndiaNIC, Vebuin/ThinkBiz Technology Pvt Ltd, Gravity Die Casters and Ananya System Designs, Tusker AI, Softvan Ltd, Panamax Infotech, DevIT Private Ltd.
