The Department of Computer Science and Engineering organized an Expert talk on “ Cyber Security, Cyber Laws, and Quantum Computing.” on 26th -27th September, 2023.
Expert sessions were taken by Dr. Raju Narayana Swamy, IAS, Principal Secretary to Government of Kerala, were arranged on September 26th, 2023 (Tuesday), from 2 pm to 3.30 pm, and September 27th, 2023 (Wednesday), from 11 am to 12.30 pm, for the students of MTech (CSE, DS and CS – Sem I), BTech-CSE, Sem 7, B.Tech CSE-MBA, trimester 7 and faculty members of the CSE department. The major focus of the expert talks was Cyber Security, Cyber Laws, and Quantum Computing. The expert discussed how quantum computing advances could change the cybersecurity landscape and how the public and private sectors could be prepared for accompanying cybersecurity risks and opportunities with important legal, policy, and regulatory issues. The expert also explained various facts related to cyber laws and other legal practices in India, including IT Acts. He also suggested precautionary measures to avoid being the victims of different kinds of cybercrimes.
