The Department is equipped with talented pool of faculty members, meritorious students and state of the art infrastructure. The Department offers BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, BTech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and 3 MTech programmes – MTech in Computer Science and Engineering, MTech in Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in Cyber Security and MTech in Computer Science and Engineering with specialisation in Data Science. Under the NEP scheme, the Department also offers interdisciplinary minors in Data Science, Computer Science and Software Engineering to students of other programmes. The Department also offers disciplinary minors in Adaptive AI and Cyber Security. The students have the opportunity to study a series of courses based on their area of interest. In addition to basic computing facilities, the Department has established advanced laboratories housing high end workstations, NVIDIA Volta and Pascal GPU systems, CISCO networking equipment, IoT devices, HCI devices and specialised software for cyber security and forensics. The Department has strong collaboration with many research organisations and leading industries like ISRO, INS-Valsura, PRL, IPR, BISAG, Infosys, CISCO Network Academy, Johnson Control Hitachi Air Conditioning India Limited, Indian Air Force etc. for academic and research activities. Linkages with top notch universities abroad has also facilitated internships, pre-approved MS programmes, and faculty exchange. Centre of Excellence in Data Science is also established in the Department in association with the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton, US since 2019. The Department takes pride in its alumni presence in the Multinational Companies like Google, Amazon, Facebook, Oracle, Intel, Morgan Stanley, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Commvault, Bosch, Bloomberg LP and many more.

4. To prepare graduates who will thrive to pursue life-long learning to fulfill their goals.

1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialisation to the solution of complex engineering problems.

2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

9. Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.
