The hackathon organized by Infineon Technologies and hosted by the Computer Science and Engineering Department, School of Technology, Nirma University was inaugurated on 16th February as a two-day (16–17 February 2026) industry–academia collaborative initiative.
The event is designed to foster innovation, creativity, and practical problem-solving by providing students with hands-on exposure to real-world industry challenges through immersive problem statements and expert mentorship.
A total of 186 enthusiastic students from Nirma University and Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) participated, showcasing a strong spirit of collaboration, competitiveness, and engineering excellence.
Technical Tracks :
The hackathon featured three specialized, high-impact technical tracks:
– Defend the Kingdom
– Sequence Quest
– Agentic Bug Hunter
Each track targeted unique technical domains, encouraging participants to think critically, innovate boldly, and deliver impactful real-world solutions.
Inaugural Ceremony:
The event began with an inspiring inaugural session graced by esteemed dignitaries:
– Dr. Rajesh Patel, Dean, Institute of Technology, Nirma University
– Dr. Himanshu soni, Director, School of Technology, Nirma University
– Ms. Monisha Maruthiyodan, Senior Staff Engineer, Infineon Technologies
Their motivating words set the tone for an engaging and intellectually stimulating hackathon, emphasizing the importance of strong industry–academia collaboration.
