Orientation Program for BTech Sem-VII Students
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) organized a comprehensive Orientation Programme for B.Tech final-year CSE students (VII semester) on August 8, 2024. The event was expertly coordinated by Dr. Vivek Kumar Prasad and Prof. Anuja Nair.
The programme commenced with an inspiring address by Dr. Sudeep Tanwar, Head and Professor, CSE Department, who motivated students to excel in academics, personal growth, and professional development.
Subsequent sessions included:
– Dr. Priyank Thakkar, Associate Professor, CSE Department, who provided valuable insights on NBA and NAAC accreditation.
– Dr. Parth Vaishnav, MD, Psychiatric from Ahmedabad, who delivered an engaging talk on mental health titled “Swipe Right for Mental Health”.
– Mr. Amit Manvani, Strategic Alliances Manager at International Development Programme Education, Ahmedabad, who spoke about “Opportunities for Study Abroad”.
– Ms. Rashmika Shah of Nirma University’s Center for Entrepreneurship Development, who shared a success story on the “Incubation Center”.
– Spiritual Teacher Hrishikesh Karunanaya Dasa of Hare Krishna Mandir, Bhadaj, Ahmedabad, who concluded the programme with a talk on “Stress Management”.
This meticulously planned orientation aimed to equip students with essential tools for success in their final year, covering aspects such as academic pressure, entrepreneurship, and global perspectives. The mental health session provided vital coping mechanisms for managing stress related to final projects, exams, and career planning.
